OPPO is releasing A73 5G smartphone for 329 euros

OPPO is releasing a relatively cheap 5G smartphone with MediaTek 720-soc. The A73 5G has 8GB of ram and 128GB of flash storage and a 6.5 “LCD with a refresh rate of 90Hz. The device has a 4040mAh battery and runs on Android 10.

The screen of the OPPO A73 5G has a resolution of 2400×1080 pixels and a hole in the corner that hides an 8-megapixel front camera. The phone runs on ColorOS 7.2, which is based on Android 10. The device has dimensions of 162.2×75.0x7.9mm and weighs 177 grams.

On the back are three cameras and for the primary camera OPPO uses a relatively small 16-megapixel sensor from OmniVision, in the 1 / 3.06 “format. The second camera is an 8-megapixel sensor with ultra-wide angle lens and the third is a depth sensor with 2-megapixel sensor.

Oppo uses the MT6853V-soc, or the MediaTek Dimensity 720 . That’s a 7nm made soc with two powerful Cortex-A76 cores and six economical Cortex-A55 cores. The soc has an integrated 5G modem with support for frequencies up to 6GHz.

Several manufacturers have released 5G smartphones this year for prices around 300 euros or less. Both Huawei, realme, Xiaomi and Samsung offer such smartphones in the Netherlands and Belgium. With the Find X2 Lite and Reno4 Z 4G, Oppo has two other 5G smartphones in the price segment between 300 and 400 euros.
