Oppo comes with ColorOS 11 beta and Xiaomi provides Mi 10 phones with Android 11

Oppo has released a beta version of ColorOS 11 based on Android 11. On September 14, the company will officially present ColorOS 11. In addition, Xiaomi reports that its Mi 10 and Mi 10 Pro devices are the first Xiaomi phones to receive an upgrade to Android 11.

The company announced last week that it would release a beta version of ColorOS 11, and the company has since done so. Users must sign up for the beta test, which will be available on a limited basis for the Find X2, Find X2 Pro, Reno 3 and Reno 3 Pro. On September 14, Oppo will officially announce ColorOS 11. The company is expected to share details about the new ColorOS version on that date, as well as officially announcing which devices will eventually receive the upgrade.

The Mi 10 and Mi 10 Pro smartphones will also be the first Xiaomi devices to receive an upgrade to MIUI 12 based on Android 11. Xiaomi reports that it is a global rom with Android 11 will be available for these devices. At the time of writing this rom does not seem to be available yet; the current rom versions for the various Mi 10 models are coming from July and August. It is also not clear when the company will release an Android 11 ota update for these smartphones.

Google officially released the stable version of Android 11 earlier this week. This new Android version will get improved privacy options, according to Google. So-called bubbles are also added to the new Android version. That’s a new way to display chat conversations that Google says makes it easier to multitask.
