Oppo announces N1 Mini smartphone with rotating camera
Oppo has announced the expected Mini version of the N1 smartphone. The most striking feature of the device is the rotating camera. The manufacturer will release the N1 Mini from June 11, as the first in China. Despite the name, it is a 5″ smartphone.
The N1 Mini was announced on Oppo’s Chinese site. The manufacturer shows how the camera module at the top of the housing can be rotated, so that, for example, selfies can be taken. The concept has been taken over from the big brother, the N1, which has the same rotating 13-megapixel camera.
Furthermore, the new Mini has a 5 “screen and the battery has a capacity of 2140mAh. Details such as the processor used Oppo has not yet announced. The software is based on Android, where Oppo has put its own Color OS skin over it. The original N1 also came with this software, while there was also a version with the popular Android variant CyanogenMod.Whether there will also be a version of the N1 Mini with CyanogenMod is unknown.
The N1 Mini will be released in China on June 11, but it is not yet known whether the device will also be released internationally. This was the case with the original N1. Earlier there were rumors that Oppo wanted to release a Mini version of the N1, where the rotating camera was also mentioned. Oppo has already put a teaser online, so the release of the device does not come as a surprise.
