OpenAI is working on a paid business version of ChatGPT
OpenAI is working on a business, paid version of its ChatGPT chatbot. This is evident from a waiting list that the company has opened. It’s a way for OpenAI to monetize its chatbot.
OpenAI has one form posted online, which shows that the name appears to be ChatGPT Professional. OpenAI wants to distinguish the paid version with guaranteed availability, always fast replies from the chatbot without throttling and a doubling of the daily limit compared to regular users.
OpenAI emphasizes that the paid business version will not be generally available for the time being. This is a pilot and conditions are subject to change. ChatGPT Professional would be a way to monetize the chatbot, which has been free to use for some time. OpenAI released a public version of AI conversation tool ChatGPT in November.
In addition, OpenAI receives investments to finance the development of its technology. For example, Microsoft reportedly wants to invest $10 billion to get 49 percent of OpenAI. A few years ago, Microsoft already invested a billion dollars.
