OnLeaks shows renders of Sony Xperia 1 V with smaller dimensions
OneLeaks publishes renders of the Sony Xperia 1 V, the manufacturer’s flagship smartphone that should be released this year. The phone is very similar to the predecessor, with the main difference being that it is a bit smaller and that the camera island now also contains the camera flash.
Just like the predecessor, the Xperia 1 V has a flat 6.5″ screen, but it is somewhat smaller than the 1 IV, writes Green Smartphones in collaboration with the well-known leaker OnLeaks. Where last year’s version had dimensions of 165x71x8.2mm, the 1 V measures about 161×69.3×8.5mm, according to the site.
The renders also show that the camera flash, which was placed loosely at the back in the predecessor, is now also located in the camera island. Furthermore, in terms of appearance, little seems to have changed in this fifth edition. The headphone jack, shutter button and on/off button with fingerprint reader, among other things, are unchanged from the predecessor.
Like the Xperia 1 IV, there are three cameras on the back of the device. Green Smartphones expects that it will be a 12MP main sensor, a 40MP ultra-wide angle and a 12MP telephoto lens. The front camera is believed to be a 12-megapixel sensor.
Based on previous rumors, Green Smartphones suspects that the Sony Xperia 1 V contains a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 soc, 16GB of RAM and a 5000mAh battery. The flagship is expected to appear in the summer.
