OnePlus will likely unveil new 3T smartphone on November 15
Qualcomm and OnePlus are hinting on Twitter about an introduction of the OnePlus 3T with Snapdragon 821-soc on November 15. The smartphone manufacturer will operate the processor at a clock speed of 2.35GHz in the device.
First of all speaks Qualcomm said on Monday that “something new from OnePlus is on the way and it’s powered by our Snapdragon 821 processor.” A day later, on Tuesday night, OnePlus know that “the Snapdragon 821 is on the way” and says that more will be learned on November 15. Since OnePlus is playing a role in this ‘unveiling’ of the 821 and the company is working on an as yet undisclosed smartphone with a Snapdragon 821 on board, it is likely that this is the OnePlus 3T.
The smartphone maker also says emphatically that it is a processor with a speed of 2.35GHz. That’s relevant because the Snapdragon 821 can already be found in Google’s Pixel phones, but with a clock speed of 2.15GHz, which is the same as that of the Snapdragon 820. The Asus Zenfone 3 Deluxe also has the 821 on board and then also on it. 2.4GHz. However, that phone is not yet available in the Benelux.
A striking feature of a short video that OnePlus places with its tweet is the way in which the company shows ‘T-minus 7’, or ‘still seven days to wait’. The ‘T’ is not just a letter, but seems to be a logo. This could be the logo of the OnePlus 3T, which further strengthens the suspicion that it is about this smartphone. It is still unknown how the OnePlus 3T will differ from the current OnePlus 3 in other areas.
