OnePlus will come with a cheaper smartphone at the end of this year

OnePlus will come with two new devices in the course of this year. In addition to the OnePlus Two, the successor to the popular OnePlus One, the company will also release a cheaper model at the end of this year. OnePlus wants to sell three to five million smartphones this year.

Bloomberg spoke with Carl Pei, co-founder of OnePlus. In the interview, Pei reports that the OnePlus Two will be released in the third quarter of this year. In addition, OnePlus will come with a cheaper model at the end of 2015. Pei has not yet made any statements about the prices or specifications of the new devices. Rumors indicate that the OnePlus Two will be more expensive than its predecessor.

Like the OnePlus One, the OnePlus Two will initially be sold on the basis of an invitation system, where customers must have a code to purchase the device. The current model is now on sale on Tuesdays without invitation.

The OnePlus One was popular because of the combination of a relatively low price with good specifications. The device has already been sold more than a million times. OnePlus wants to sell three to five million smartphones this year. In 2016, ten million devices have to be sold.
