The smartwatch from OnePlus, which the company will unveil next Tuesday, will not run on Google’s Wear OS according to leaked specifications. The smart watch would have a diameter of 46mm and be equipped with 4GB of storage.

According to the leaked specifications, the watch has an IP68 certification for water and dust resistance and can quickly charge with Warp Charge. That should give you ‘a week’ of battery life after 20 minutes of charging. The OnePlus Watch also gets sensors to measure sleep, stress, blood oxygen and heart rate.

The OnePlus Watch can also be used as a remote control for OnePlus televisions and there are various functions on it to record workouts. The round watch has a diameter of 46mm and does not run on Google’s Wear OS, says Ishan Agarwal, which has obsolete the specifications.

OnePlus will present its smartwatch on March 23, when the OnePlus 9 smartphones are also unveiled. On Wednesday, OnePlus also posted a teaser about the upcoming watch on its forum. In it, the brand writes that the watch must stand out with “a design that stands out from the crowd” and a “first-class experience at an affordable price”.

Update 16.45 – In a response to the OnePlus forum, which was also shared below, CEO Pete Lau confirms that the OnePlus Watch does not run on Wear OS, but on its own real-time-based operating system. Lau says it can deliver a smooth and reliable experience and good battery life that way.
