OnePlus sells VR glasses ahead of OnePlus 3 announcement
OnePlus started selling VR glasses on Monday afternoon for the announcement of the OnePlus 3 smartphone, which is expected to take place in June. The VR glasses cost 6.90 euros in the Benelux, the costs for shipping.
The manufacturer claims to have 30,000 of the VR glasses, the OnePlus Loop VR, and there are still copies available at the time of writing. The VR glasses are needed for the event of the announcement of the OnePlus 3, which, like the event for the OnePlus 2, will only take place in VR.
Last year, the manufacturer handed out cardboard VR glasses for the event in advance. It is unknown which devices are compatible with the Loop VR. It is obvious that in any case the manufacturer’s own devices will fit in the holder. OnePlus mentions that “most 5-6” phones will fit.
OnePlus will deliver the glasses from June 6, which means that the announcement cannot logically take place before that date. Presumably, the manufacturer will present its fourth smartphone sometime in the following weeks. An image of the device appeared online last week.
