OnePlus releases Android Nougat 7.0 update for OnePlus 3 and 3T

OnePlus has started distributing OxygenOS 4.0 (N) to both the OnePlus 3 and OnePlus 3T. The ota update brings Android Nougat to the devices, in addition to a small number of other adjustments.

OnePlus had promised to complete the update to Android 7.0 in 2016 and at the last minute the company fulfilled that promise. OnePlus announced the release of the update for the OnePlus 3 and OnePlus 3T on its forum on Saturday.

The OxygenOS 4.0 (N) ota update brings Nougat features such as new views for notifications and the settings menu to the devices. The Android version also provides multi-window display, direct reply option for notifications and custom dpi support. In addition, OnePlus has added new options for status bar icons and customization options for the shelf with OxygenOS 4.0 (N).

The company points out that the ota update will only reach a small portion of users initially. A wider distribution will follow within a few days, OnePlus promises.
