OnePlus has started rolling out Android 11 for the OnePlus 6 and 6T. It is a stable version of OxygenOS 11, which was already available for OnePlus 7 smartphones and newer.

OnePlus reports on its forum that OxygenOS 11.0.0 is gradually becoming available for OnePlus 6 and OnePlus 6T users. The company released test versions of Android 11 for these smartphones about a month ago and released several new “Open Beta” versions of that OS over the following weeks.

OxygenOS 11.0.0 brings with it, among other things, a redesigned interface, thanks to the move to Android 11. Users can also expect new Game Space features, including a quick reply function that makes it easier for users to respond to WhatsApp, Instagram or Telegram. messages when they play a game. The UI of the camera app has been updated and the update adds new Ambient Display features.

The update is not immediately available to all users. OnePlus is gradually releasing the update to users. In this way, the company hopes to be able to intervene in time in case of any problems. In March, OnePlus released an upgrade to Android 11 for OnePlus 7T and 7T Pro smartphones, and OnePlus 7 devices have also received an upgrade to this Android version. OnePlus 5 and 5T users will not get an upgrade to this Android release.
