OnePlus is working on ‘Buds Pro’ headphones
OnePlus is working on a Pro Edition of its Buds, the wireless in-ear headphones. Interested users can apply to OnePlus as a tester for the device. It is the company’s first public announcement about the new earphones.
It will be the third version of the OnePlus earphones, after the Buds and the Buds Z. The headphones are provided to tech influencers, or users who have an ambition to do so. When registering, they must therefore provide samples of their work, it is written on the ‘OnePlus Labs’ page.
What the Pro earphones will offer compared to the Buds and the Buds Z will not be revealed. Obviously, this version gets active noise cancellation, which the other two Buds don’t have. These Pros may also receive support for better bluetooth codecs, such as Qualcomm aptX. A charging case is certainly to be expected; the two existing Buds have that too.
The Chinese company, which recently decided to join forces with parent company Oppo, is simultaneously working on a Nord 2, which can also be tested via OnePlus Labs, and presumably also on a tablet. In addition, the company offers a smartwatch.
