OnePlus hints at OnePlus X announcement on October 29
The OnePlus X is likely to be announced on October 29 in London. This is evident from a tweet from the official OnePlus Twitter account. The smartphone manufacturer has posted a photo with the text ‘See you October 29, London’.
The tweet comes from the global account of the Chinese smartphone maker. A lot is known about the OnePlus X, because both the American approval authority FCC and its Chinese counterpart Tenaa have put data and photos online. According to those data, the OnePlus X has an OLED screen with a diagonal of 5 “and a resolution of 1920×1080 pixels. There are several rumors about the soc. Some rumors speak of a MediaTek Helio X10, others of a Qualcomm Snapdragon 801.
There are several variants of the device. The FCC approved the E1005, while Tenaa has owned the E1001. OnePlus has not yet announced any details about its new smartphone, but has been saying since this spring that it will come with another smartphone in addition to the OnePlus 2 this year. The device gets a lower price than the OnePlus 2, which costs around 330 euros in the cheapest variant.
On Tuesday, OnePlus in India announced a partnership with Foxconn. The manufacturer, which assembles hardware for many brands, including Apple, will produce 500,000 copies of the OnePlus 2 per month.
