OnePlus hints at first foldable smartphone in Q3 2023

OnePlus seems to want to release one or more foldable smartphones in the third quarter of this year. The company hinted at this when announcing the OnePlus 11, among other things. According to an earlier rumor, OnePlus is working on a V Fold and a V Flip.

At the end of the event in which it announced the OnePlus 11, among other things, the company said it would come up with “something phenomenal” and “a surprise” in the third quarter. In doing so, it showed an image of what appears to be the creases of foldable smartphones.

It is probably the foldable smartphone that OnePlus teased in August last year. In addition, the company showed the hinge of a mini-tablet-like folding smartphone, such as the Z Fold series. Leaker Mukul Sharma said in late January that OnePlus had applied for trademarks for the OnePlus V Fold and the OnePlus V Flip. It may be OnePlus versions of the OPPO Find N Flip and Find N models.

At the presentation, OnePlus showed various devices, in addition to the OnePlus 11, the Buds Pro 2. In addition the company announced his first tablet: the Pad. In the coming weeks, OnePlus will announce how much it will cost and when it should be available. The Pad has an 11.61″ screen, can be charged with 75W and gets MediaTek’s Dimensity 9000-soc. The company also announced its own keyboard.
