OnePlus confirms that it will introduce its first foldable smartphone later this year
OnePlus confirms that it will present its first foldable smartphone in the second half of this year. The company talks about a flagship phone. Earlier in February, the company already hinted that it was working on a foldable.
President and COO Kinder Liu says that the foldable phone ‘should be able to match the current top foldable devices on the market’, but provides little new information about the smartphone. The smartphone manufacturer wants to announce more about the foldable phone in the coming months.
When announcing the OnePlus 11, the company already strongly hinted that it was working on a foldable, with a ‘surprise’ for the third quarter of this year. According to rumors, the company is working on a mini-tablet-like foldable and a flip phone, such as the Find N2 and Find N2 Flip devices from parent company OPPO. Leaker Digital Chat Station previously claimed on Weibo However, OnePlus’ foldable mini tablet would have a 2k screen, which does not match the specs of the Find N2. It may therefore not be an OPPO device with the OnePlus brand name, but a separate device.
