OnePlus confirms OnePlus 5 is coming this summer

OnePlus has confirmed that a new device called the OnePlus 5 will be released this summer. The company does not provide details about the successor to the OnePlus 3 and OnePlus 3T. There are, however, the necessary rumors about the device.

The manufacturer does not give The Verge a more specific introduction period than ‘this summer’. The device will go through life as OnePlus 5 and not as OnePlus 4. This is a logical successor name, since the 4 is an unlucky number in China.

There are already the necessary rumors about the OnePlus 5 circulating. India Today published some specifications at the end of April. The device would contain a 5.5 “screen and dual camera. The site also spoke of a seamless back cover without antenna lines. The design would otherwise largely match that of the OnePlus 3T.
