OnePlus seems to be planning to release a Lite model with the release of its new generation of smartphones. The device should be the cheaper version of the OnePlus 8 and 8 Pro. However, prices are not yet known.

The manufacturer has not yet officially announced that the OnePlus 8 series will also come with a Lite version, but 91Mobiles has already received renders of the cheaper model. The images are provided by OnLeaks, which is often the first to obtain renders of unreleased smartphones.

Specifications of the OnePlus 8 Lite are not yet available, but it can be concluded from the images that the device will have two cameras on the back, with the 8 and 8 Pro getting one more. At the front, a cutout has been made in the screen for the front camera. The same recess is most likely also on the other OnePlus 8 models, according to a previously surfaced render of the 8 Pro.

In addition, there is no fingerprint scanner on the renders of the Lite, which suggests that it is built-in under the screen, just like with the other models in the series. OnePlus will probably market the smartphone as a midrange, but it is still unclear what price it will have. The manufacturer probably wants to meet the complaints that the smartphones have risen in price over the years with the Lite model in addition to the regular and the Pro model.
