OnePlus announces EarBuds Pro with active noise cancellation for 150 euros
OnePlus has announced the EarBuds Pro in-ear earphones. The earphones have ‘smart adaptive noise cancellation’, Dolby Atmos Audio, bluetooth 5.2, a low-latency mode and cost 150 euros. The earphones can be ‘pre-booked’ from August 18.
The EarBuds Pro have 11 mm drivers and three microphones that provide active noise reduction. OnePlus calls its version ‘smart adaptive noise cancellation’ because the microphones listen to the environment and then automatically adjust the noise reduction with counter noise. That counter-noise can be 15 to 40 dB. OnePlus insists that the automatic mode provides a more comfortable listening experience, compared to the ‘static’ active noise cancellation from other manufacturers.
Each earpiece of the EarBuds Pro has a 40mAh battery. The earphones last for five hours on a single charge if the active noise cancellation is turned on. When turned off, the in-ear headphones will last for seven hours. You can call with the earphones for three hours, according to OnePlus. If you count the built-in 520mAh battery of the case more, then the Earbuds Pro can last 38 hours, according to OnePlus.
Users can fast charge via Warp Charge with up to 10W. After ten minutes of fast charging, the case offers a battery life of ten hours. Wireless qi charging is also supported, but at 2W. The earphones support Dolby Atmos Audio, LHDC, SBC, AAC, LHDC. OnePlus added support for Bluetooth 5.2 and announced that the in-ear headphones have a latency of 94ms to make gaming more enjoyable. They have been given an IP55 rating which makes them sweat and water resistant.
The EarBuds Pro come in a black and white version and cost 149 euros. From August 18, the earphones can be ‘pre-booked’ on the OnePlus website. It is not yet clear when the earphones will be delivered to European customers.
