OnePlus has announced the Buds Pro in-ear headphones. The earphones have ‘smart adaptive noise cancellation’, Dolby Atmos Audio, Bluetooth 5.2, a low-latency mode and cost 150 euros. The earphones can be ‘pre-booked’ from August 18.

The Buds Pro have 11mm drivers and three microphones that are responsible for active noise reduction. OnePlus calls its version ‘smart adaptive noise cancellation’ because the microphones listen to the environment and then automatically make adjustments to the noise reduction with counter noise. That counter noise can amount to 15 to 40dB. OnePlus argues that the automatic mode provides a more comfortable listening experience, compared to the ‘static’ active noise cancellation from other manufacturers.

Each individual earpiece of the Buds Pro has a 40mAh battery. The earphones last five hours on a charge when the active noise cancellation is switched on. When this is turned off, the in-ear headphones will last for seven hours. You can call with the earphones according to OnePlus for three hours. If you include the built-in 520mAh battery of the case, the Earbuds Pro can last 38 hours according to OnePlus.

Users can fast charge via Warp Charge with up to 10W. After ten minutes of fast charging of the case, it offers a battery life of ten hours. Wireless Qi charging is also supported, but at 2W. The earphones support Dolby Atmos Audio, SBC, AAC and LHDC. OnePlus added support for Bluetooth 5.2 and announced that the in-ear headphones have a latency of 94ms to make gaming more enjoyable. They have been given an IP55 rating, which means they are considered sweat and water resistant.

The Buds Pro come in a black and white version and cost 149 euros. From August 18, the earphones can be ordered at the website from OnePlus. It is not yet clear when the earphones will be delivered to European customers.
