‘OnePlus 8T gets 120Hz OLED screen and different camera set-up than OP8’
The OnePlus 8T would have a 120Hz OLED screen, where the current model OnePlus 8 has a 90Hz OLED screen. That claims Android Central. The camera setup of the new phone also differs from the current model.
According to a source from Android Central, it is still a 6.55 “screen as on the OnePlus 8, but with the higher refresh rate. That is in line with last year, when the manufacturer also increased the refresh rate: the OnePlus 7T. has a 90Hz screen, while the OnePlus 7 got a 60Hz screen earlier that year.
The 8T will get a 48-megapixel camera as the primary camera again, according to the site, but it would be a newer model. There is a camera with an ultra-wide angle lens of 16 megapixels and a macro camera of 5 megapixels. The fourth camera is only a depth sensor for portrait mode.
The phone must also come out with Android 11 and would therefore be one of the first smartphones with the new operating system. The soc is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 865+, with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. OnePlus is said to be planning the release of the 8T for the end of this month or the beginning of next month. A render of the 8T already appeared in OnePlus’ own software.
