OnePlus 6T will be announced on October 30

OnePlus will hold an event to showcase the OnePlus 6T on October 30. The event takes place in New York and can be followed via a live stream. A lot of information about the device is already known.

In a teaser video, OnePlus talks about speed and the phrase ‘touch the innovation’. With the latter, the manufacturer probably refers to the fingerprint scanner that is behind the screen. Already in September, OnePlus announced that the 6T will get that function. OnePlus will present the device on Tuesday, October 30 in New York and simultaneously in India.

Although OnePlus has yet to officially present the device, many details are already known. At the beginning of October, renders of the OnePlus 6T appeared online, which show that the device has two cameras on the back and that the screen is equipped with a drop-shaped notch.

OnePlus itself already announced that the fingerprint scanner is behind the screen. Sister companies Vivo and Oppo previously applied this technique. The manufacturer also announced that the 3.5mm jack will disappear on the new model.

According to unconfirmed rumors, the OnePlus 6T has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845-soc and there will be variants with 6 and 8GB of ram, and 64, 128 and 256GB of storage. The introduction follows less than half a year after that of the OnePlus 6, which was announced on May 16.
