Old Document Shows Apple Planned Mac Tablet and 15″ MacBook Air
An old document listing the agenda for a meeting of Apple’s top executives shows that the company was planning a 15-inch version of the MacBook Air and a Mac tablet. The document dates back to 2007.
Mock-up: 2010 iPad with 2007 OS X Leopard
The document comes out via Internal Tech Emails and comes from the mountain of documents that became public during Epic’s lawsuit against Apple. That lawsuit ran last month and was about, among other things, allowing payment systems other than Apple’s in Fortnite and other apps and games.
The MacBook Air with 15″ screen and tablet are planned for ‘H1 2008’ during the meeting in August 2007. The tablet is listed under ‘Mac’, while the later iPads received the software and processors from iPhones. The MacBook Air appeared only in the original 13″ version and a later 11″ variant. The document lists other never-released products, such as a $199 “iPod Super Nano,” which, to our knowledge, never appeared.
