Official: iPhone 13 event will take place next week (and here’s what to expect!)
It’s official: Apple’s iPhone event has just been announced. This year’s event will take place on Tuesday, September 14. Apple has just sent the official invitation to the media, with “California Streaming‘ as a theme. The Apple September event 2021 will largely be dominated by the new iPhone 13.
Apple event September 2021
Last year, Apple announced the new iPhones in October, but this year they’re picking up the old schedule again. Again, it will be a digital event that has already been recorded in advance, and where no press and public are present. The iPhone 13 will undoubtedly be the protagonist of the event. Just like last year, there are four versions: the iPhone 13, the iPhone 13 mini, the iPhone 13 Pro and the iPhone 13 Pro Max. We expect the new iPhone to have a smoother screen and an improved camera.
What else is Apple announcing?
Knowing Apple, it’s not just iPhones. Here are other products that might launch next week:
- Apple Watch Series 7: The Apple Watch gets a new design with a spectacular screen for the first time in years.
- AirPods 3: The third generation of the regular AirPods gets a new design for the first time in its existence. The AirPods 3 will look much more like the AirPods Pro, but without exclusive functions such as noise cancellation.
- iPad: We’re a little less sure about the iPad. One could be presented, but a reveal later this fall is also an option. Moreover, we do not know which iPad it is: there are rumors of a regular iPad and an iPad mini – both with a new design.
- Operating system release dates: Major updates will be coming soon for all your Apple devices and we’ll hear the exact release date during the keynote. This includes iOS 15 and macOS Monterey.
