Oculus is still giving all Quest 2 buyers free PC game Asgard’s Wrath
All purchasers of the Oculus Quest 2 are eligible for a copy of the PC game Asgard’s Wrath, which can be played on the VR glasses via Oculus Link. Initially, Oculus only gave the game to people who recently bought the headset.
Last week, Oculus announced that people who purchase a Quest 2 and activate it after November 20 will be eligible for a free copy of the $ 40 Oculus Rift game Asgard’s Wrath. The PC game is not playable on the standalone headset, but can be played when the Quest 2 is connected to a computer with a USB-C cable.
Buyers who already purchased the Quest 2 before November 20 were left out. The headset was released in September and users who previously purchased the VR glasses expressed their displeasure on reddit and the Oculus user forum. The company says it will listen to those complaints and reports on Twitter that anyone who has purchased the Quest 2 is eligible.
People who purchased the Quest 2 between September 16 and November 20 must create a ticket with customer service and choose the option ‘I am having an issue with Oculus Software or content’. They must then provide proof of payment to be eligible for the free game.
Users activating a new Quest 2 after November 20 will automatically get the game when they connect their headset to a PC and launch the Oculus software. Asgard’s Wrath is a comprehensive RPG developed exclusively for the Oculus Rift and released in 2019. The game is set around Nordic mythology.
