Obsidian Entertainment’s Grounded is leaving early access in September
Grounded, the latest game from Microsoft subsidiary Obsidian Entertainment, will be leaving early access in September this year. The game has been in that since 2020. The game will be released for Windows and Xbox.
The 1.0 update to the game introduces new weapons and armor to craft and a new enemy, the Giant Praying Mantis. According to Obsidian, new players will be able to join an existing player base of ten million players worldwide.
Grounded is a first-person crafting survival game in which a number of children have somehow shrunk to the size of an insect. They must survive in the savage world of the backyard of a house in the 1980s and find a way to return themselves to their original size.
The game will be released for the current and previous generation Xbox and for PCs. It will also become part of the Xbox and PC Game Pass subscription. Obsidian is known from Knights of the Old Republic 2, Outer Worlds, Fallout: New Vegas and more.
