NZXT releases new atx enclosures for similar price to S340
NZXT has announced two new cases. The H500 and H500i are mid-range models with tempered glass side panels. The H500 should cost $70, making it a successor to the S340.
Full specs of the H500 and H500i can be found on NZXT’s website. Both housings are identical in design, but the H500i is equipped with an additional controller for fans and RGB lighting. The controller is called the ‘Smart Device’ by NZXT and allows the user to configure their own fan curves.
On the inside of the housings there is room for an atx motherboard, two 3.5″ drives, two 2.5″ drives and seven expansion cards. The front of the case has room for two 140mm fans, one with a 120mm diameter at the top and a single 120mm fan at the back. NZXT includes two 120mm fans.
In addition to the Smart Device, NZXT supplies the H500i with two RGB LED strips and a bracket with which a video card can be mounted vertically. The NZXT H500 and H500i will be released in mid-June. NZXT gives the H500 a suggested retail price of $69.99 and the H500i should cost $99.99. How these prices translate into euros is unknown. White and black variants of the housing will be available, possibly with blue or red accents.
