NZXT Introduces Aer RGB Fans That Work With HUE+ Controller
NZXT introduces a series of fans equipped with a ring of RGB LEDs. The HUE+ controller from the same manufacturer is required to control the LEDs. The Aer RGB fans are available in 120 and 140mm versions.
It is possible to constantly display one color, to let the light ‘breathe’ or to make it spin in circles. With the Spectrum Wave function, the colors of the LEDs change continuously in a circular motion. Up to five of the new fans can be controlled per channel of the HUE+ RGB LED controller. The HUE+ connects with USB and through NZXT’s CAM software, users can adjust the effects of the LEDs on the fans. It is possible to create different groups and set the fans individually, or to daisy chain them.
NZXT will sell the Aer RGB fans separately, but there will also be kits from several fans and a set with two fans including the HUE+ controller. In the US, a 120mm copy costs $30 separately and a 140mm variant costs $36. A set of three copies costs 80 and 90 dollars respectively for the 120 and 140 mm versions. Sets with two fans and the HUE+ controller are available for the same prices. The fans will be available at the end of October.
