Nvidia: Next Generation GeForce Cards Coming Soon

The release of the next generation of GeForce graphics cards is still a long way off. The director of Nvidia said this during a closed meeting at tech fair Computex. The GTX1000 series came out two years ago.

The next-generation GeForce is coming “a long time from now,” said Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang. He did not want to say anything further on the subject, writes Videocardz based on a live stream from UFD Tech. Huang came up with the topic thanks to a question from an editor of Hardware.Info. According to the site, it matches previous rumors that Nvidia has not yet shared details of the next GeForce generation with partner companies.

Nvidia introduced the GTX1000 series two years ago with the presentation of the GTX1080 and GTX1070. Its predecessors, GTX970 and GTX980, were released in 2014. The previous generation was released in 2013.
