Nvidia lowers RTX 3090 Ti, RTX 3090 and RTX 3080 Ti prices in Europe
Nvidia is temporarily lowering the prices of the three most powerful video cards in the 30 series after hinting at price cuts. It concerns the Founders Editions of the RTX 3090 Ti, RTX 3090 and RTX 3080 Ti. The prices of the other video cards in the series remain unchanged for the time being.
The price reduction was noticed by Videocardz, after Nvidia hinted at a price reduction for its video cards two weeks ago. The website states that it is a temporary ‘offer price’, so it is not clear how long Nvidia plans to maintain the reduced prices.
The price of the RTX 3090 Ti has been reduced the most and is now 1329 euros. That is a reduction of 920 euros compared to the previous suggested retail price. The RTX 3090 now costs 1199 euros at Nvidia, which equates to a price reduction of 350 euros. The RTX 3080 Ti is discounted to 1089 euros. That is 110 euros less than the previous suggested retail price.
The prices for the three video cards therefore shift slightly more towards the prices charged by other providers such as Gigabyte, MSI and Asus. The price of the RTX 3080 Founders Edition and the other 30-series video cards that Nvidia sells itself, keep the previous suggested retail price. That would have to do with the fact that Nvidia has less surplus of video cards in the middle and low segment. In recent months, video card prices have generally fallen. Especially the video cards in the top segment.
In the meantime, Nvidia is also working on the 40 series, although it is not yet known when Nvidia will bring it on the market. According to the latest rumors, Nvidia would only announce a 4090 this year and introduce the other video cards in the 40 series until next year.
