Nvidia is giving GeForce Now 3080 users a free upgrade to RTX 4080 cards

Nvidia adds RTX 4080 cards to the most expensive GeForce Now plan. The price remains the same, but users can use the latest maps including ray tracing, DLSS 3 and 240fps with that new Ultimate subscription.

Nvidia changes the subscription structure of GeForce Now. The most expensive subscription will now be called Ultimate. That will continue to cost 19.99 euros per month, but the most recent maps will be added in the future. Currently, subscribers can still play on RTX 3080 cards. Those subscribers will be automatically transitioned to an Ultimate plan “later this month.”

The upgrade to RTX 4080 cards in the cloud streaming service means players can also enable ray tracing and DLSS 3. The cards also make it possible to play at a maximum of 240fps, although this requires a G-Sync monitor that supports Reflex mode. Nvidia also offers support for ultrawide monitors and there will be 4k support at up to 120fps.

Nvidia will deploy the cards in January in data centers in Europe and North America. Other regions will follow in the following months. The Priority plan, which allows players to play at up to 1080p and 60fps, will remain and also keep the same price.
