Nvidia GTX 1660 Super with gddr6 will be released on October 29 for $229

Nvidia is reportedly releasing its GTX 1660 Super graphics card on October 29 for $229. This GPU is almost the same as the current GTX 1660, but contains faster gddr6 memory at 14Gbit/s. The suggested retail price is $10 higher than the regular variant.

Nvidia has not yet disclosed the release date and price itself, but VideoCardz says it is in the hands of the details. The GTX 1660 Super gets 6GB of gddr6 memory, just like the more expensive 1660 Ti. The 1660 Super has a memory speed of 14Gbit/s with 336GB/s of bandwidth, where the 1660 Ti has to do with 12Gbit/s and 288GB/s respectively.

The specifications are otherwise identical to those of the current GTX 1660. Both video cards contain 1408 Cuda cores with exactly the same clock speeds. This suggests that Nvidia will release the GTX 1660 Super as a replacement for the 1660, but Nvidia has not announced anything about this yet. Nvidia previously did something similar with the introduction of the RTX 2070 Super and RTX 2080 Super. Both video cards were introduced as replacements for their regular counterparts.

The GTX 1660 Super will be released on October 29 and will cost $229. Converted and including VAT, this is about 248 euros. Several images of GTX 1660 Super cards have appeared online recently. VideoCardz will also publish an image of the Chinese manufacturer Maxsun on Tuesday, on which the specifications are confirmed.
