Number of banned flashcard users Nintendo 3DS seems to be back online

A number of Nintendo 3DS users who have been banned for using flashcards report being able to play online again. Nintendo itself has not yet given any information, but it seems that the company has only issued a temporary ban.

On the GBA Temp forum, a number of users have reported that they can go back online after receiving a ban from Nintendo. Not all banned users have regained access yet and it is still unclear what Nintendo’s exact plans are: the company has not yet provided any further information about the unban.

The bans were initially imposed because users with flashcards illegally played games. After installing system update 9.5, the ban would have started, but no official confirmation has been given by Nintendo. Banned users will see error code 002-0102 and will no longer be able to go online, but not all players who played games via flashcards have been banned.
