Nubia introduces its Redmagic 9 Pro and 9 Pro+ phones. These smartphones both have a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC and a 6.8″ AMOLED screen. The phones will first appear in China from the equivalent of 567 euros; international prices will follow later.
Nubia provides the Redmagic 9 Pro and 9 Pro+ phones both from Qualcomm’s flagship smartphone. The Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 was announced earlier this month and features eight Arm cores, including a Cortex-X4, in addition to five performance cores and two more energy-efficient cores.
The devices both also get the same 6.8″ screen with a refresh rate of 120Hz. Both devices also get a new design, RGB LEDs and shoulder buttons that can be used while gaming. The devices also get a fan in the device itself, which runs at a maximum of 22,000 revolutions per minute.
The Redmagic 9 Pro and 9 Pro+ will have a maximum of 12GB and 24GB of memory respectively. The 9 Pro also has a maximum of 512GB of storage, while the Pro+ variant has a maximum of 1TB. The Pro+ variant also has a 5500mAh battery, which supports 165W fast charging. On the cheaper 9 Pro this is a larger 6500mAh battery with slower 80W fast charging.
The Redmagic 9 Pro series will be released in China later this month. The entry-level model will be available for the equivalent of 567 euros, for a variant with 8GB memory and 256GB storage. The Redmagic 9 Pro+ phone will be available in China for 709 euros. The phones will be available internationally in January. Nubia will share more details about the international release of the Redmagic 9 Pro series in mid-December.
