NS Travel Planner app adds support for tram and bus

NS has added support for planning journeys by tram, bus, car and on foot to its Reisplanner app for iOS and Android. Users can plan the route by entering an address or zip code.

Until recently, it was only possible to plan trips by train, but not yet by other means of public transport. That is now possible after the updates of the app for Android and iOS. NS Reisplanner Xtra, as the app is officially called, has arrived at version 4.0.

In addition to planning trips via tram and bus, according to the changelog, users can also see the current position of trains with Train Radar. With the move, NS is emphatically competing with 9292, which until some time ago was the only app that could plan journeys via all forms of public transport. In addition, Google Maps recently added support for live transit info. Since last week, the foreign public transport app Citymapper also works in the Randstad.
