November 10: Apple event with Macs in the lead
Apple has just announced an event: next week Tuesday, November 10 at 7 p.m. Dutch time is the day. The theme of the event is “One more thing” and it is already Apple’s third event this fall.
November 2020 Apple event: one more thing
One more thing – these are the famous words with which the late Steve Jobs always made a spectacular product announcement at the end of a keynote. During this last Apple event of this year, it can really only refer to one thing: Apple Silicon Macs!
During WWDC in June, Apple announced that it would make its own chips for the Mac. It was also promised that another Mac would appear with this Apple Silicon this year. We don’t know yet which Mac will get the scoop, but we’ll be hearing it next Tuesday. Of course, it could also be that several Macs with this processor are announced.
If you have the page of the Apple Event and tapping on the Apple logo, you will see an Apple logo in AR that appears to open and close like a MacBook. A clear hint that this is a MacBook, not an iMac or Mac Pro. According to Bloomberg, we’re going to see two new MacBook Pros and one new MacBook Air .
And what else?
The Mac will undoubtedly be in the spotlight next Tuesday, but we expect Apple to have even more in store for us. For example, there have been rumors for a long time about a completely new version of the AirPods: an over-ear headset called AirPods Studio. In addition, there has been a lot of speculation about the AirTag for over a year: this is a tracker that you can attach to your valuables, after which you can always find them via the Find My app. We also expect Apple to finally announce the release date of macOS Big Sur.
