Nothing releases beta of Android launcher
Nothing has released a beta of its own launcher for Android. The current version is suitable for the Samsung Galaxy S21, S22 and the Google Pixel 5 and 6. According to the makers, the launcher gives a taste of Nothing OS, the Android skin that will be on Nothing phones.
The nothing launcher has Max Icons and Max Folders. Nothing mentions the possibility to display icons of apps and folders large on the home screen. Furthermore, according to the makers, the launcher contains ‘unique fonts and a unique design’. Also, the launcher has clock and weather widgets, with the custom design.
Currently, the launcher is only suitable for recent Samsung Galaxy and Google Pixel phones, but according to Nothing there will be a version for OnePlus soon. The manufacturer wants to give a preview of Nothing OS with the launcher. That is the name of the Android skin that Nothing will put on its upcoming phone (1).
At the end of March, Nothing already showed screenshots of Nothing OS. The company of OnePlus co-founder Carl Pei wants to release its first smartphone in the summer. That will be an Android phone with a Qualcomm soc; more details about this are not yet known.
