Smartphone brand Nothing has posted a teaser for a smartphone that apparently has a screw on the back.
Nothing teaser, June 2024
Nothing posted the photo of one screw into the housing followed by one post with emojis of a smartphone and a screw. Leaker technerd_9, whose reliability is unknown, claims it goes to introduce an accessory locking system called Nothing Lock. It is not known what kind of add-ons these would be.
It would be a cheaper model from the manufacturer under the sub-brand CMF. Features such as Glyph Light with LEDs on the back would be missing. The phone is said to have a removable plastic back. Nothing would provide the phone with a MediaTek Dimensity 7200 SoC with 5G modem, 6GB Lpddr4x memory and 128 or 256GB UFS 2.2 storage. The phone with a 6.7″ OLED screen with a 120Hz refresh rate would cost around 220 euros. The Nothing 2a, the current cheapest model, costs around 320 euros.
