Nothing Phone (2) gets Snapdragon 8 processor

The as yet unannounced Nothing Phone (2) will get a Snapdragon 8 processor. That has been announced by the company. That is an upgrade compared to the Nothing Phone (1), which has a Snapdragon 778G.

It is probably a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 or an upcoming Snapdragon 8+ Gen 2, but nothing says exactly which one it is. The company promises to provide more information in the coming weeks. It is unknown whether the Phone (2) also gets a higher price due to the more expensive soc. The Phone (1) came out for 469 euros. The Snapdragon 8 socs are the most expensive socs for smartphones.

Nothing has not yet announced its second smartphone. The company is not saying when that will happen. The Phone (1) came out last summer and was distinguished by the use of hundreds of LEDs on the back for creating custom patterns.
