Noctua postpones NH-D15 successor and white fans until early 2023
Cooler manufacturer Noctua recently updated its roadmap. In it, the company has, among other things, postponed the release of the successor to its NH-D15 processor cooler and that of its first white computer fans until the first quarter of 2023.
on Noctua’s website can be seen that the roadmap was changed sometime in April, so was noticed by Tom’s Hardware. Until recently, both products were planned for the last quarter of this year, but the releases of the new cooler and fans have now quietly been moved up by a quarter to early next year. A Noctua desk fan was also originally planned for the end of 2022, but has been postponed until the first quarter of next year.
The company does not give a concrete reason for the postponement, but clearly states on its website that the roadmap and its planning are subject to change. The Austrian company says any delays in products could be due to several reasons, including “further research and development, fine-tuning, production capabilities or coordination with other projects.”
An eight-port fan hub and a 24V to 12V adapter were also planned for this quarter, but these have also been moved up by a quarter. The company will come with its own fan grills sometime this quarter, which have not been announced before. New Intel Xeon processor coolers will also be released in the next quarter. In the last quarter of 2022, Noctua is currently scheduled to come with a ‘thin’ 60mm fan, a new 140mm fan and a 24V-40mm one.
