Noctua teases a CPU cooler in the Redux series, which will be released soon. It would be a relatively affordable processor cooler. The Redux cooler is scheduled to be released in the first quarter of this year by Noctua.

noctua reports on Twitter that it is a Redux version of an existing CPU cooler, which has been ‘reduced to the essentials’. This would make the cooler relatively affordable, compared to other CPU coolers from the manufacturer. The company uses the same strategy with its gray Redux fans, which, according to the manufacturer, are offered at ‘an accessible price’.

The company does not report which CPU cooler will be released in the Redux series, but the cooler in the shared image shows similarities with the company’s NH-U12. Noctua already showed a prototype of a Redux cooler during Computex in 2019. It was based on the NH-U12 cooler.

The manufacturer reports that the Redux cooler will appear ‘soon’, but does not mention a suggested retail price or concrete release date. Noctua’s roadmap states that the Redux cooler will hit the market in the first quarter of 2021. With that, the cooler is expected to appear within a month, although the company’s schedule may be subject to change.

There are more coolers on Noctua’s roadmap. The company will introduce a passive CPU cooler in the second quarter. FanlessTech reported in December already that mass production of that cooler was about to begin. Later this year, the company will also release white fans, a fan hub, a desk fan and a successor to the NH-D15.
