No Man’s Sky will be a launch title for the PlayStation 5 and the Xbox Series X and s. Hello Games makes a next-gen version for the new consoles that runs at 4k resolution with 60fps. The game is free for players who also own the game now.

No man’s Sky Next Generation has better graphics, according to the makers, to match the new consoles, which will be released on November 10 and 19. The game will be available for both PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X and S immediately upon release.

On the Sony console, the game will receive support for the haptic feedback contained in the DualSense controllers and improved sound through Tempest 3D Audio technology. Hello Games states in a trailer that the game loading times are five to ten times shorter on the new consoles.

The console versions of the game will receive multiplayer support for up to 32 players for the first time. Crossplay is also possible. According to the makers there is also support for the PSVR via backward compatibility.

The next-gen update for No Man’s Sky will be released on console release dates and will be free for players who already own the game. The game is also part of the Xbox Game Pass subscription. PC players will also receive an update at the same time that improves the graphics.
