Hello Games is bringing PlayStation VR and Steam VR support to No Man’s Sky through the upcoming free Beyond expansion. Sony shows images of the VR mode in a trailer. The update should be released in the summer.

According to Sony, the full game will receive PSVR support, including parts that came out before the update. A trailer shows players moving around in vehicles and spaceships, walking around and building on a planet. Hello Games itself announces on Steam that the PC version will also receive VR support. The Steam VR support is coming at the same time as the PSVR support in the summer.

Hello Games announced No Man’s Sky Beyond earlier this month and also promised the arrival of multiplayer functionality. It was not yet known that there would be VR support. The announcement left the developer for the first broadcast of Sony’s State of Play livestream.

The VR-supported update is free for players who already own No Man’s Sky. However, the PlayStation 4 version of the game will also be re-released in stores in the summer, including all updates and the Beyond expansion with PSVR support.

Sony revealed more PlayStation VR news in its first State of Play broadcast. For example, the Japanese console builder showed new images of Blood & Truth and it was announced that this game will be released on May 28. Sony presents the game as an interactive explosive action movie. Set in the criminal underworld of London, Blood & Truth puts players on a dangerous mission as elite soldier Ryan Marks.

Sony also listed a number of games that are on the way for the PSVR headset. These include Min-Mech Mayhem, Jupiter & Mars, Falcon Age, Trover Saves The Universe, Everybody’s Golf VR, Table of Tales and Vacation Simulator. All these games now have a release date and they will be released between April and June.
