Nintendo ships 5.2 million copies of Super Mario 3D All Stars
Nintendo has shipped 5.2 million copies of its collectible Super Mario 3D All Stars in the first two weeks of release, which includes three old Mario games. This is evident from the quarterly figures of the console makers.
Those quarterly numbers run through September 30 and Super Mario 3D All Stars came out on September 18, so that number was hit within two weeks of release. Paper Mario: The Origami King, which came out this summer, brought Nintendo 2.8 million. Animal Crossing: New Horizons is at just over 26 million deliveries since its release in March. Mario Kart 8 Deluxe alone has delivered more, namely almost 29 million.
Nintendo shipped a total of 6.86 million copies of its Switch consoles. In addition to the Switch, those deliveries also include the Switch Lite released last year. In the same period last year, this was 4.8 million. In total, around 68 million Switch consoles have now been sold. Deliveries of the 3DS, on the other hand, are on the decline. This year, Nintendo has shipped 690,000 3DS copies so far, about half the number in the same period last year.
