Nintendo is releasing the game Pac-Man 99 for Nintendo Switch Online subscribers. It is a free Nintendo Switch game with a battle royale theme, where a player has to compete against 98 opponents.

Just like previously released titles such as Tetris 99 and the now unplayable Super Mario Bros. 35, Pac-Man 99 is a title that gives a classic game a new look. In the new game, the familiar Pac-Man gameplay forms the basis, with the addition that there are 98 other players to defeat and the necessary power-ups are present.

The ghosts are still present and so is the food of the Power Pellets. If the latter happens, the ghosts can be sent at other players like Jammer Pac-Mans. These Jammer Pac-Mans slow down players so that ghosts can approach them more easily. In order to win a round, it is important to wake up sleeping ghosts, so that they make life miserable for opponents like a ghost train.

Pac-Man 99 is a game from Bandai Namco and is free for Nintendo Switch Online subscribers, although additional paid content is also available. There are all kinds of new themes available with which, for example, the music can be adjusted or the game can look like an old Bandai Namco arcade game such as Xevious or Dig Dug.
