Nintendo details first DLC Zelda: Breath of the Wild – update
Nintendo has revealed details about the first DLC for the game The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. Among other things, when the DLC is released this summer, the game will have a view that allows the player to see where Link has been.
Nintendo announced the expansions in February and is now detailing the expansion pack, which will be released in the summer. In addition to the new “Hero Track” map view, which shows the destinations visited over the last 200 hours played, there is the “Travel Medallion”, which allows the player to select a location to teleport directly to.
Also new is the Sword Trial Challenge in certain sacred slabs, where players must defeat wave after wave of enemies in 45 rooms. “If you pass this ordeal, you can awaken the power of the Master Sword, and as long as it is used, it will always glow and be charged,” Nintendo writes. The ‘hard mode’ gives enemies the ability to recover during combat, making it advisable to take them out as soon as possible. The DLC also brings new display options, including Majora’s mask, Tingle’s gear, and a Korok mask that shakes when Link is near a Korok location.
The Expansion Pass to purchase dlc in one go costs 19.99 euros in the Benelux and users receive both dlcs for this. The first of these will be released this summer, the second will be released at the end of this year. The Expansion Pass is available for the Wii U and Switch versions of the game.
