Nintendo Announces Wii U Adapter for GameCube Controllers

Nintendo comes with a Wii U adapter for GameCube controllers. The company made the announcement via Twitter. An included photo shows that the adapter is connected to the Wii U via USB and offers space for four controllers.

Unlike its predecessor, the Wii U has no connection for GameCube controllers. Nintendo now wants to solve that by putting an adapter on the market. When the new adapter becomes available, the company will make tweet not clear, although it can be concluded that it will be for sale at least before the release of the new Super smash Bros. game. The title is scheduled for next winter. It is still unclear whether the adapter will allow any Wii U game to be controlled with a GameCube controller.
