Nintendo comes with a Wii U adapter for GameCube controllers. The company made the announcement via Twitter. An included photo shows that the adapter is connected to the Wii U via USB and offers space for four controllers.

Unlike its predecessor, the Wii U has no connection for GameCube controllers. Nintendo now wants to solve that by putting an adapter on the market. When the new adapter becomes available, the company will make tweet not clear, although it can be concluded that it will be for sale at least before the release of the new Super smash Bros. game. The title is scheduled for next winter. It is still unclear whether the adapter will allow any Wii U game to be controlled with a GameCube controller.

Partly due to the poor sales figures of the Wii U, Nintendo again made a loss last year. In total, 2.72 million Wii Us were sold, far less than the company had expected. Since April, Nintendo has been offering a number of Gameboy Advance games for Wii U, such as Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga, Metroid Fusion and Advance Wars. The Japanese company also wants to launch a new console next year, aimed at emerging markets such as China. However, Nintendo has not yet released details about the new console; however, the products would become cheaper and would be aimed at users who still have little experience with gaming.
