Nintendo announces sports shooter Blast Ball
Nintendo revealed a new 3DS game called Blast Ball during the Nintendo World Championships livestream. In the handheld shooter, teams of 3 players, all armed with mechs, try to score goals together in a small arena.
The announcement comes shortly after the release of Nintendo’s other shooter Splatoon for Wii U. The game is somewhat reminiscent of Metroid Prime Hunters with its interface and arm cannons. As a team scores more goals, the goals get smaller and smaller.
The Japanese Nintendo has not yet given any information about the price and the release date of the multiplayer game. More about that will probably be announced at the Nintendo Digital Event on Tuesday, June 16.
