Nintendo has announced a Paper Mario game for the Nintendo Switch. The game is called The Origami King and will be released on July 17, the Japanese console manufacturer says. Nintendo has also put a trailer online.

The game can already be pre-ordered for immediate play on July 17, Nintendo says on a site dedicated to the game. Origami King is of course again about an apparently paper version of Mario who has to free Princess Peach from a castle. Nintendo has announced a new ally named Olivia, and Bowser will also join Mario this time around, the Japanese company said.

Nintendo has been making games in the series for nearly twenty years. The first Paper Mario appeared in 2000 for the Nintendo 64. There were also versions for the Gamecube, Wii, 3DS and Wii U. The game only appears for the Switch and not for the DS handhelds from the Japanese company. The release date is July 17 and Nintendo is asking 60 euros for the game in the Benelux.
