Nintendo is also stopping the Nintendo Classic Mini in Europe, the company has confirmed. Production has stopped. Earlier, the company reported the delivery stop in North America and Japan, which means that global phasing out appears to be a fact.

Nintendo confirms to Eurogamer that it has stopped production of the Nintendo Classic Mini: Nintendo Entertainment System. Last week, the company released similar notifications for the NES Classic Edition, as the system is called in North America, and the Famicom Classic in Japan. The last notification stated that it was a ‘temporary’ production stop.

Also for Europe, Nintendo keeps the door ajar for a renewed offer: “If production resumes in the future, there will be an update on the official Nintendo website.” Following the announcements, the prices of the mini console on supply and demand sites have risen sharply. Nintendo announced the NES Classic Edition in July of last year. The company announced at the beginning of this year that it had sold 1.5 million copies of the Classic Mini, despite major delivery problems.
