Nikon Z9 camera shoots at 20fps and films in 8k resolution at 60fps
A promotional video of the Nikon Z9 has appeared online. This shows that Nikon’s new top model can shoot in full resolution at 20 frames per second. That goes up to 120fps in a lower resolution. Filming is in 8k with a maximum of 60fps.
The video shows that the Z9 is Nikon’s first camera with a screen that can be tilted over multiple axes. Furthermore, the shooting speed of 20 fps in RAW format is stated, without RAW that is 120 fps. According to rumors, this only works in DX mode at a reduced resolution of 11 megapixels. The video also confirms the frame rate of up to 60fps when filming in 8k resolution.
The promotional video contains a number of slides with specifications and images of the camera. According to NikonRumors, the video in question was put on YouTube by Nikon India, but has since been removed.
Nikon announced the Z9 in March, but has not yet announced all the details about the device. According to previous rumors, the mirrorless full-frame camera will receive a completely new 45-megapixel sensor, an electronic viewfinder without blackout when shooting and the device will be slightly cheaper than the D6 SLR camera, which costs 7299 euros.
The Nikon Z9 will be Nikon’s highest positioned camera. The device is Nikon’s answer to the Canon EOS R3 and the Sony Alpha 1. The top models from Canon and Sony shoot at 30fps and cost 6100 and 7300 euros respectively.
